European Pharmaceutical Summer Seminar

The European Pharmaceutical Summer Seminar (EPSS) is a project that has been traditionally organized for four years in Ohrid. It was established in 2016 at the initiative of students from the Student Assembly of the Faculty of Pharmacy (FSSFF) in Skopje and students from the Scientific Research Association – SRA.

The purpose of the seminar is to provide continuous education for students on current topics in pharmacy by presenting information related to the latest scientific advancements. The beginnings of the seminar were marked by the first events focused on the medical use and significance of cannabis (Cannabis spp.).

The seminar has an international character, with participants from many European countries, including Austria, Denmark, Greece, Romania, Moldova, Cyprus, Turkey, and others. Through this summer seminar, pharmacy students have the opportunity to connect with colleagues from across Europe, enabling knowledge exchange, idea sharing, and building a foundation for future collaboration.

Students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, the Faculty of Medicine at Goce Delčev University, as well as pharmacy students from abroad take part in the organization of these projects. The academic component is fully led by professors and assistants from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Skopje, the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje, the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Skopje, as well as relevant specialists from practice. In addition to international students, foreign professors and assistants also participate, contributing their expertise to the current topics discussed.
