The Macedonian Pharmaceutical Students Association (MPSA), founded in 1994 on the initiative of students from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Skopje, is a non-governmental organization dedicated to encouraging scientific research spirit, promoting science among students, and enabling the development of progressive scientific ideas. Its mission is to support creativity and student activism, as well as to motivate future scientists to step onto the path of science.
At the beginnings of the organization, the goal was to create a tool through which students could create, express their creativity, fight for their rights, and actively participate in shaping social movements. Some of the main aims and tasks included: protection of guaranteed rights, dignity, and integrity of students, prevention of any misuse, encouraging student independence, organizing courses and other educational programs to introduce students to the latest achievements in pharmacy, and supporting continuous professional development.
The structure of SSFM was built through several sectors that formed the basis of the student movement’s functioning. Over the years, with changes in higher education, especially with the formation of faculty assemblies, the way student organizations operate has evolved. Today, the structure of SSFM is represented by the Scientific Research Association (NIZ), through which the organization’s activities are carried out.
SSFM remains the official representative of students from the Faculty of Pharmacy – Skopje within the European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association (EPSA), promoting their position in international pharmaceutical organizations.Gutentor Advanced Text
