From 21 July to 1 August 2025, the Scientific Research Association – NIZ organized its 31st Summer Field Project. A total of 25 members of the association participated in the project. The project took place in Šar Mountains National Park, with activities conducted at Ljuboten and Popova Šapka. The participants were accommodated at Ljuboten Mountain Hut and the Institute of Ecology and Technology at Popova Šapka. The project was carried out under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Gjoshe Stefkov.

The field activities were focused on the assessment of the annual production of bilberry and juniper within the territory of Šar Mountains National Park. The aim of the project is to contribute to the sustainable use of these natural resources within the national park. For this purpose, as a continuation of the activities initiated in 2023, experimental fenced plots were established to serve for the annual assessment of the yield of these natural products.
